About the event

Bryan Watterson knows what it takes to transform a farm property devoid of trees. He had spent 20 years planting over 60,000 trees on his Woorara East property to protect the Agnes River and thereby Corner Inlet, and now uses the land to demonstrate how revegetating the gullies improves the health of the ecosystem, including the carbon-capturing mangroves and seagrass many kilometres away in Corner Inlet.

With many contacts to draw on, Bryan will explain what supports there are in the Prom Coast area to get things started.

We acknowledge the Bunurong and Gunnai-Kurnai nations and show our respects to the ancestors of Country and the people living today of these tribal nations. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded and there have been fundamental changes to their culture and will work to restore what we can. We can all honour these ancestors by caring for country and respecting the balance of nature that feeds and protects all living things.
