On 7 November 2021 PACA Prom Area Climate Action (PACA) hosted an online Climate on Track webinar which brought New York, Glasgow and Fish Creek together. PACA members came together online after the keynote addresses to discuss how PACA is engaged with the ACF and with local FCA farmers. It has an ongoing campaign to declare a climate emergency

in South Gippsland in response to a 2000 signature petition lodged with council in 2020. PACA will continue to seek a declaration and continue to advocate for more climate action through the Together We Can ACF campaign.

The overall message from the event was that only by combining broad community groups

together with a common purpose and leadership will we get the climate on track.

We acknowledge the Bunurong and Gunnai-Kurnai nations and show our respects to the ancestors of Country and the people living today of these tribal nations. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded and there have been fundamental changes to their culture and will work to restore what we can. We can all honour these ancestors by caring for country and respecting the balance of nature that feeds and protects all living things.
